# Un-staking penalty

If  you chose the option to do locked staking and decided you want to withdraw the tokens for any reason. You can do so but your rewards will incur a 80% penalty fee.

In example, if you lock staked 1,000 tokens and earned 1,00 tokens making the total tokens at 1,100. If you chose to withdraw before the end-period, you will only receive 1,020 tokens back.
